I put an Nvidia 1070 in it and using my 3D vision monitor for 3D vision and my projector for both Tridef and 3D vision on that system.
#TRIDEF 3D LAG UPGRADE#
I decided to upgrade the Win 7 computer that I have my Tridef license on. I'm using Tridef on that system with an OEM supported 3D monitor, so no license on that one to risk.
#TRIDEF 3D LAG UPDATE#
Chances are there will be an Oculus or Steam VR update that breaks 3D on that system. I started noticing that error in February I think.īuilding my win 10 machine was part of my solution to protect my 3D and separate it from my VR stuff. I deferred all updates for as long as possible on my win 10 PC, but I would say 3D on win 10 is on borrowed time.
#TRIDEF 3D LAG DRIVER#
The 3D vision has a solution now that can run the updated driver but I'm waiting. Weird thing is, I haven't installed the 1903 May update yet, that requires updating to the most recent Nvidia driver, which breaks 3D vision and causes a few unresolved VR issues from what I read. Well, you roll back windows to a pre update state then tell "Windows trouble shooter" to keep that update from installing which it does by tricking windows into thinking it is installed thus resolving the driver conflict coming from whatever updates windows just tried to downliad. Let's say you just downloaded some kind of update that now causes issues with TriDef. Now, for those who keep windows free of the May update you can use Microsofts provided "Windows trouble shooter" to deal with issues from updates that break TriDef.
#TRIDEF 3D LAG INSTALL#
If You choose to install the Windows Update from may, then for right now you'll just have to move the error message off screen to where it's not noticed. Set one up with Windows 10 but without the big May 2019 update and the other with the updates ti enjoy the new features, if you like. I would recommend that all TriDef users set up a dual boot on thier computer. But, it's now up to the community.how ever many that my be, to solve issues like this. How much longer we'll be able to use TriDef for games is unknown.a. Fewer things downloaded gives fewer opportunity to have some conflict with TriDef and making it unusable. For instance, I could simply tell windows 10 that all I wanted downloaded in the future were the security updates and that's all it would download, no added features, programs, nothing. Keeping the may 19 Update installed would be beneficial because Windows added a new update feature with it, that gives us the ability to actually choose what types of updates we want to install in the future.
We may just have to keep putting the message off the screen and deal with it that way if we want the new features from the update. Since TriDef has gone under and no tech help from them were on our own. I'm going to see if Windows help forum can isolate the direct cause and see if its fixable somehow. You can can always roll back windows to before you downloaded update and it solves the issue, but you lose the features from the update. As you've noticed you can simply move the box off the screen and still use tridef no prob. Error message simply wont go away untill you fully close TriDef and fully close out steam then the error message stops popping up. I get the error messages everytime I start a game via steam. As you stated, it doesnt go away when you try to close it. The problem occurs after downloading the BIG windows update. Sure didn't take long for MS to break Tridef If anyone issolates which update causes this, please post.
Odd thing about it in my case is those games still play fine in 3D, I have to minimize the game and drag the error message to a corner of the screen. I am getting that exception error on a few games, clicking OK just brings it back up and only restarting windows makes it go away. My newer PC I built in February, Ryzen 2700x with a 1080ti I am restricted to use the updated OEM driver with my HP 2311gt passive monitor and windows 10. Grant S wrote:I'm still using Tridef on 2 PC's. Not sure if there is an existing database of their drivers, if anyone needs the OEM driver for the HP 2311gt passive, feel free to PM me. Since my lifetime Tridef license has been reduced to the lifetime of the windows installation it is on, I feel obliged to upgrade and keep that working as long as possible. I use Tridef SBS on my Viewsonic 7820HD and 3D vision with my ASUS 3D vision monitor.
#TRIDEF 3D LAG FULL#
I also have a full license for Tridef on my old Xeon 1280 3.6 system with a 1070.
